Biography
Carl W. Bazil, MD, PhD, is the Caitlin Tynan Doyle Professor of Neurology, College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. He is the Director of the Division of Epilepsy and Sleep at the Neurological Institute in New York City. Dr. Bazil received his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his PhD (pharmacology) and medical degree from Emory University. He was a Neurology Resident and Chief Resident at New York University and a Clinical Fellow in Epilepsy/EEG at the Neurological Institute of Columbia University. He is board certified in Neurology, Epilepsy, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Sleep Medicine.
